Rosie Reay

Rosie Reay is a well-travelled author as you may have guessed already. She has lived in Africa, England and Spain, apart from her travels in North America. Her first book was inspired by a road trip a few years ago from California, USA to British Columbia, Canada and it has in fact triggered the whole Chimona Chronicle series.

Rosie currently lives in the olive and mandarin countryside between  Barcelona and Valencia, Spain above the lovely Ebro River valley. Surrounded by her own crowd of pets, she actually does work as a professional U.S. naming consultant! (Seewww.BrighterNaming.com). 

In addition, Rosie helps Spanish students perfect their English and writes blogs(www.EbroVoice.com), articles and marketing materials for the English community in that part of the country.

Rosie also writes poetry, short stories for adults, and working on different adult novels, based on her real life experiences and travel - depending where her muse takes her on a morning. 

She currently has under her pen at the moment a bilingual book gathering speed for first readers in English and Catalan. This series will evolve into higher grades as the child's linguistic abilities grow.
