Jurgen Burgoyne

I was born in Denver, Co but grew up and graduated H.S. in Ludington, Mich. I joined the Marine Corps shortly afterward where I served on a worldwide basis under President Reagan. I then got into law enforcement and did that for a number of years, whereupon I bought into a small business with my son, Derrick. I have two children and live alone in Dover, De.

Interview

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am retired from working for others and want to live my dream and so I chose writing. It has always been a passion of mine and a challenge. I have two grown children and one grandchild. My son and I operate a small business on the side.

2. Describe your book ‘The Sons of America’ in 30 words or less.

The Sons of America is a gritty in your face look at social upheaval which leads some down the path of anarchy.

3. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

It was hard to stay focused making sure every detail came out satisfactorily.

4. What books have had the greatest influence on you?

I read the classics in school and grew to appreciate their perfection. I try to achieve the same goal.

5. Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

I mostly market online in book clubs and such. I tried other avenues without success.

6. How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

I spend most of my time unwinding with family and friends, or playing golf when I get a chance.

7. What are you working on next?

My current project is called "From the Heavens". It is about God and the sins of Lucifer which cause him to be cast from heaven. In the end man has to pay for his betrayal and all of mankind is sent to earth to redeem themselves in the eyes of the Heavenly Father. I also want to write a screenplay with my brother in the near future.
