MICHAEL CARRIER

Michael Carrier never doubted that he would become a writer of fiction. When, as a journalism student in college, his professor required him to write his own obituary, he wrote that when he turned fifty years of age he would begins his first novel. While he wrote extensively throughout his life, at fifty he began his first novel, a thriller--"Jack and the New York Death Mask" (2010). Since that time he has published two additional thrillers, "Murder on Sugar Island" and "Superior Peril." He will publish three more books in this series (Getting to Know Jack) in 2014. Michal holds a Master of Arts degree from NYU, and has completed an additional two years of postgraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania's Dropsie College of Hebrew and Cognate Learning in Philadelphia. Michael has, at different times in his life, drivn truck, hustled pool from Texas to Montana, travelled the country hitchhiking, spent five years in the West Village, delivered diamonds in New York's diamond district (disguised as a down-and-outer), tended bar in a New York nightclub and at private parties, climbed dozens of water towers and mountains out west, skydived, toiled in a publishing house as a content editor, and worked for over two decades as a private security contractor.
