Carol Dolson

~~Carol Bland Dolson was awarded Finalist honors at the 49th annual Georgia Author of the Year Awards for her first children’s book, “Hattie and the Higgledy-Piggledy Hedge (Jonquil Books, 2012).

Presented by the Georgia Writers Association, the Georgia Author of the Year Awards “recognize Georgia’s authors of excellence” and have the distinction of being the oldest literary awards in the Southeastern United States.

Now, the award-winning author’s second children’s picture book, “The Heebie Jeebies” (Jonquil Books, 2014) is a Mom’s Choice silver award recipient. Mom’s Choice, whose mission is to help families grow emotionally physically and spiritually, recognizes the best in family-friendly media products and services

~~Carol Dolson graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She has combined her love of art, gardening, and all things English into her first children’s book. She lives with her husband, Dick, in Athens, Georgia.
