Interview

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a retired Air Force Colonel. I spent my 27 year career supervising people who fixed airplanes (Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor). I am now a proposal writer who writes proposals to help companies get business with the Government.  My proposals have helped companies win over $15 billion dollars worth of contract with international, U.S. federal, state, and local governments. When I am not writing my proposals, I am a part time fiction writer. I write and publish free short shorts on my blog located at http://www.HarryMiles-Adventures.blogspot.com

2. Describe your book Harry's War in 30 words or less.
People have described it an “edge-of-your-seat action adventure” featuring Harry Miles, Air Force F-15 fighter pilot who finds himself alone in the mother of all air battles facing off against eight (8) Iranian jets (planes are technologically superior to Harry's). There is intense air combat then the surprising aftermath! Will Harry survive the peace?

3. What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Writing the air combat scene. Helps my son used to be an F-15 combat pilot. I have never flown a plane.

4. What books have had the greatest influence on you?
Ernest Hemingway's works, John Sanford Prey series, Alex Berenson's John Wells series,

5. Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?
I use mainly Tweets on Twitter (107,00 tweets and counting). I have lately advertised in book promotion sites.

6. How do you spend your time when you are not writing?
Reading, watching TV, going to movies.

7. What are you working on next?
a. Sequel to Harry's War Harry gets back in the action and battles one of the Iranian pilots again.  He is known as “Mar”, Farsi for snake, for his use of extreme air combat maneuvers,
b. David Dunn, ex-Air Force Office of Special Investigations agent, tracks an international arms dealer The Khan
c. The Mission - A UFO abduction where the aliens lose control.  they meet Darla (she is a street walker)- their mind control does not work on her.
d. Comal County, TX Sheriff's Department Investigator, Linc ("Booger") Remington, solves crime in the Hill Country of Texas.  Please don't call him "Booger": he will remind you that he is an armed peace officer.
