Heather P. McCarthy is a freelance writer, graphic designer, nature enthusiast and homeschooling mother of three in Jacksonville, Florida.  She is Adjunct Faculty and a Research Associate at the Marine Science Research Institute at Jacksonville University, specializing in non-native aquatic species and marine conservation biology.
