Describe your book ‘Coming Home’ in 30 words or less.
Coming Home addresses the themes of overcoming
grief and finding self-forgiveness for past regrets. The story is
told through two central female characters – Anne Harris and Maggie Cosby.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The story stalled around the sixth chapter. The
beginning was too heavy with back story. With the help of a good
writing coach, I was able to weave the back story into the present and give a
smoother flow to the story line.
What books have had the greatest influence on you?
Palomino by Danielle Steele, Montana Sky by Nora
Roberts, and the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell.
Briefly share with us what you do to market your
book?
A website with a blog is a necessity. Social
media provides a good source for word of mouth. Sites such as this
one help readers sample your work and become branded with your book cover.
How do you spend your time when you are not
writing?
Traveling and
exploring the world outside my office. My husband and I enjoy antiquing
and bumming around in flea markets.
What are you working on next?
The second book in the Coming Home series, Ethel’s Song. It is scheduled for release in October.
