But if you yourself are not on Twitter, you\u2019re losing out on optimizing the tweets about your book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Here\u2019s why:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If on Twitter you have a natural following of people interested in what you write about, you can use tweetbeep.com to let you know when BookBuzzr has tweeted the name of your book. Then you can retweet BookBuzzr\u2019s tweet about your book to your own followers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This retweeting of someone else tweeting about your book gives you what is known as \u201csocial proof.\u201d Someone else thinks your book is worth tweeting about.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And there\u2019s even a place on your BookBuzz book information page to include your Twitter username, which can help your book fans follow you on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Let\u2019s talk about starting out effectively on Twitter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Whether you\u2019re not yet on Twitter or you are on Twitter but not yet understanding how to effectively harness its power, the first place to start is with an effective Twitter profile:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Fill out the Twitter profile as completely as possible, which isn\u2019t time-consuming because the profile is very brief:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Your real name in the field in setting that says real name (make sure to put a space between your first and last name so that it is easier to search for you on Twitter)<\/li>\n<li>Username that makes sense for your brand and does NOT have an underline in it<\/li>\n<li>Headshot of you and not your book cover (do not wear sunglasses or a hat that blocks your eyes and it\u2019s best to smile)<\/li>\n<li>One hot link to your website or your BookBuzzr page or a social media profile other than Twitter<\/li>\n<li>Bio that positions your brand (you only get 160 characters)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Warning: <\/strong> Do NOT choose a dark color for the sidebar background.
