The first version of the BookBuzzr Widget worked flawlessly with Facebook. You simply clicked on the Facebook icon inside the widget, followed a few prompts and you\u2019d have your book widget appearing on your Facebook profile. The instructions for this were presented in an earlier blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Then Facebook changed the rules.<\/p>\n

Under the new rules, your Facebook page cannot feature any widgets on your personal Facebook profile page.<\/p>\n

So we\u2019ve worked on a fix for this problem. And it works only on your Facebook Fan pages (aka public profiles \u2026 we\u2019ll be using \u201cthe phrases public profiles and fan pages interchangeably.) All BookBuzzr Author Pro subscribers<\/a> automatically get access to BookBuzzr’s AuthorPage Widget along with all of the other cool book promotion technologies such as the Hangman game<\/a>, exposure in the CoverMatcher game<\/a> on Freado.com<\/a> and the Amazon Sales Alert tool. <\/p>\n

Here are the steps to get your BookBuzzr AuthorPage Widget to work on your Facebook fan page (PLEASE NOTE: If you don\u2019t have a Facebook fan page, please take some time to create a Facebook Fan page. This is going to become very important for all authors. Also, the rest of these steps will not work for you if you don\u2019t have a Facebook fan page.)<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t have a Facebook fan page, please follow the below steps to create a Facebook fan page:<\/p>\n

  1. Login to your FaceBook Account<\/li>\n
  2. Go to http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/create.php<\/a>
    \n 
    \n    \"\"<\/a> \n<\/li>\n
  3. Click on ‘Artist, Band or Public Figure’.<\/li>\n
  4. Choose category as Author.<\/li>\n
  5. Enter the Fan page name.<\/li>\n
  6. Click on \u201cGet Started\u201d.

    2. In the same browser, open a new tab and login to your BookBuzzr<\/a> account.<\/li>\n
    3. You will be redirected to ‘Book Marketing Home<\/strong>‘ page.

    4. Click on the option \u201cFaceBook AuthorPage Widget\u201d.<\/li>\n
    5. Here you can change from the default book shown to other subscribed books by using the ‘Change’ option.

    6. You can also change the default theme settings by using the ‘Change Theme’ option.
      \n       \"\"<\/a> \n<\/li>\n
    7. Next, click on \u201cPreview & Share<\/strong>\u201d on the top right hand corner to share your BookBuzzr AuthorPage Widget on your Facebook Fan Page.

    8. Next, click on \u201cShare<\/strong>\u201d in the popup window.

    9. Next, click on \u201cGo to App<\/strong>\u201d in the AuthorPage by BookBuzzr page(PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong> If this App is already allowed then this screen will not be shown and you can continue from step 11 onwards.)

    10. Next, click on \u201cAllow<\/strong>\u201d in the AuthorPage by BookBuzzr permission request page

    11. Select the Facebook page to add AuthorPage by BookBuzzr app to and click on ‘Add Page Tab’.
      \n

    12. Then you will be taken to your personal Facebook profile page.

      \n \n<\/li>\n
    13. Click on \u201cPAGES<\/strong>\u201d link in the left sidebar.

      \n \n<\/li>\n
    14. Next, click on the fan page name where you have shared the AuthorPage widget.

      \n \n<\/li>\n
    15. By default, 4 tabs will be shown in your fan page. If ‘Authorpage’ tab is not showing under the default 4 tabs then in order to see the additional tabs, please click on the number shown at the end of the tabs.<\/li>\n

    16. Click on the \u201cAuthorPage\u201d tab in the your fan page.
