Description
After a reckless night out in the West End and having lost everything, I leave memories of a London police cell behind
me and head for Spain with its promise of adventure and fun. Little do I
know that I’m about to be thrust into the most terrifying time of my
life. Wrong Place Wrong Time is a gripping true-life story of an
unimaginable nightmare and how my ticket to a new life turns out to be a
one way ticket to hell.
The Story Behind This Book
This is a true story based on events that happen to me which involved a trip to Spain. I had a great lifestyle, excellent career, luxury apartment but then on a night out which ended in a night in a police cell, I lost everything. Having booked a flight to Spain, my nightmare began which includes a hotel fire, dead bodies and being wrongly arrested for arson and manslaughter. My story, WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME!
Praise and Reviews
Some reviews on Amazon:
Excellent true story! Quick paced and well written. For an authors first book too. Do you have any other books? :)
Firstly the cover caught my attention, then the title and the statement,
True Story. Having read the first 3 chapters the story became a fast
paced tale and kept me gripped until the end. The guy who's story it is
about did act stupidly initially but then you warm to him, especially
when he risked his own life, saving others. I will not give too much
away but this book may not be for everyone but I enjoyed it very much!
I read this book in an hour and a half. It was gripping and well paced.
My one reservation is with the title. David was never in the wrong place
at the wrong time, he made some unfortunate choices.
I bought this book as I heard alot about it and what a story. I don't
normally read true life crime but as someone told me about it, I thought
I would give it a go and pleased I did. The story did keep me
enthralled till the end. If you want a story to read that will keep you
gripped, this is the one.
I bought this book a few days ago and later that night (about 11pm) went
up to bed to have a read - I ended up staying awake until 2.30am to
finish it!
I am just a bit older than the Author was when the
events took place and I can relate to a lot of what writes about, being a
bit naive and carefree when young. Fortunately for me (unfortunately
for David) the few scrapes I had in my early 20s with the police were
here in the UK not Spain!!!
Anyone who enjoys reading books
involving True Crime, the Police,Spain, Being young and a bit adventurous
should definitely give this a read.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It's paced brilliantly - I
started off lounging in the armchair and ended up on the edge of my
seat! The last few chapters are especially gripping and if you're
anything like me, you'll be rooting for David right till the end.
Although this is a true story, it reads like fiction (with great
dialogue and characters). It's a brilliant read and one I'll definitely
be reccommending to my friends.
Smashwords Reviews:
Thank you for the free copy of the book and to be honest I would have
paid for it. The story line is something you couldn't really make up. I
fully enjoyed the book, mainly because it was true which made it more
gripping. There are many reasons that I enjoyed the book, there is the
description of the surroundings of Marbella which are describe well,
there is also some romance, but what I did like without giving too much
away was the dialogue and how the people he met turned against him,
without him doing wrong. I would have given a 5 star but there were a
few typo’s but nevertheless, a great true story.
I have always been fascinated by true crime or true stories, however one
would like to put it and this true story was no exception. The story
begins well and ends up as gripping as a book gets. You begin to feel
for the author when he is incarceration after saving lives and having
been through what he has. The ending is a brilliant and gripping read
and as it's a true story, makes it even more intriguing.
Having received a free copy of this book, I decided to read it the other
night. It took 3 days to read and it was as compelling as the
discription states. He had everything in London but he was stupid and
reckless and lost it all in one night. Then he took a trip to Spain for a
holiday and then what occurs is just a complete nightmare for him. This
story is a must read, its not a deep thinking read, its just simply a
gripping and pacey read.

Okay first the negative views: A lot of swearing but its a true story so
I will forgive that and I few typos! Now the positive: A cracking story
that got better and better as it went on. I read this book in 3 days
and I'm still thinking about it. How the author went for a break to
Spain and just got caught up into nightmare situations. Would make a
great movie!!
I was recommended this book to read as I like true crime stories and I
wasn't disappointed. The story line creeps up on you with it's pace and
is a gripping read. What the author went through in Spain, was a
nightmare, some bad choices on his behalf, but I won't give anything
away. Just to say this book may not be for everyone, but it sure worked
for me.
