Description

It’s September 2012 and five school friends, all suffering similar
horrific nightmares, decide to investigate why – only to become
embroiled in an apocalyptic feud between two Mayan brothers.

Their investigation leads them to the sudden disappearance of a former
school teacher and to the source of their nightmares - a dreamcatcher,
hidden in the depths of a parallel universe, saturated with evil. Its
guardian is Anunaki, a murderous Mayan warrior.

The Mayan prophecies are nigh and Anunaki will fulfill them. He will
unleash the dreamcatcher and shroud the world in such darkness that
none will survive. And if by a miracle some do, they will pray every
night that they had perished also.

The only person who can stop him is his younger brother, Iktaniki, a
spirit guide - but not without the help of the five. There’s just one
problem…..they don’t trust him.

The concept for the book occurred by accident...I was at work, looking on the internet for a Portuguese art distributor called Destarte back in the days when the internet was nothing but a mass of blue links. I saw a webpage about Dreamcatchers (i think it's still there) and a quote by Thoreau....“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!” My mind wandered....what if you could? And so, Dreamcatchers was born.

"Dreamcatchers is a coming of age tale where 5 young friends, united by circumstance, confront their demons together in a very original and unique way. I particularly liked the way real-world myths and legends were interwove into the story, and the research done for the book is quite apparent. The pacing is great, and there are some genuine page-turner sections, as well as more sedate parts that quite elegantly set the backstory." Andrew Whittaker
