Description

The Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane is a grand and terrible building. Abandoned over forty years ago, its rooms and halls no longer ring with tortured screams. When his younger brother goes missing, Thomas Verkraft takes the opportunity to escape his imploding life in New York City and come to Buffalo to find him. Following a trail of black and white photographs and homemade videos, he tracks Henry down to the doors of the State Asylum. It's the last building his brother entered before he disappeared. 

Accompanied by Julia, his brother's tormented ex-girlfriend, Thomas realizes that if he is ever to unravel the mystery behind Henry's fate, he too will have to descend into the depths of horror that claimed him. For the dangers that lurk in the interstices of Buffalo's haunted heart feed on misery and despair - and Thomas, fleeing as he is his own troubled life, soon finds himself under attack - and that his rescue mission has become a fight for his own soul.
