It’s April 1984, and sixteen-year-old Nick Cooper misses his dad. Grief-stricken and bored with his Midwestern life, he makes a decision that does not sit well with his parents, especially his stepfather. As a result, his stepfather kicks him out. Being unsuccessful with staying at his godfather’s arcade, Nick locates an abandoned warehouse where he finds shelter and takes in four teenage boys. Yearning to regain a sense of family, he pledges to protect his friends and vows to safeguard his younger sister while he struggles with resentments against his mother and stepfather. Due to an event that occurs his first night on the streets, Nick becomes the target of a revenge plot and must decide how to respond when his friends and he come face to face with his stalker.
