Anne Marie is also clever and inventive, traits that come in handy as she makes good an escape to return to her empty farmhouse where she knows a great deal of money awaits, hidden away by the grandmother who betrayed her.
With ample funds and a confused notion of the outside world Anne Marie sets out to cross the Mexican border. She soon becomes involved in a series of travel adventures that turn deadly as she leaves a trail of dead bodies - mostly handsome young men - in her wake.
