Story Behind The Book

The concept behind this book came to me after the frenzy of released Vampire stories following Stephenie Meyer's success with the Twilight books. It seemed like everywhere I turned, authors were jumping on the Vampire train to try and mimick or top the greatness she achieved with the saga. I wanted something new, something fresh, and I was tired of buying and checking out books that ultimately had the same story line, same plot, been there done that feel. Never have I ever read any authors book that has done this concept quite in this manner. It's original and gripping to say the least. Any time that you can re read your own book and fall in love with every character 101 times over, you know its a good read. While in the future my sights are still set on pursuing an agent to represent the Trilogy, it's more important for me right now for my work to be read, appreciated, loved and shared.

Copied from Amazon.com

Highly Recommended! A must Read!!!

Customer Rating

Posted April 13, 2011, 4:17 PM EST: I read this book in two days and didn't want to put it down! The last book series I read was the Twilight series, and I didn't think anyone could top that one. The vampire thing has been so overdone lately it makes me almost want to gag when I hear about another vampire story. THIS was a breath of fresh air for me, and has NOTHING to do with vampires!!!! I haven't had much time to read lately, with a new baby in the house, so when my honey bought me a nookbook and suggested I check out a book that a girl from his office had written I was skeptical to say the least. The prologue and the first chapter grabbed my attention, and by the 2nd and 3rd chapter I was hooked!!! If I hadn't had baby duties to attend to I would have probably finished it in one day. I can't quite figure out how to add the second book of the trilogy to my nook yet, but as soon as my honey get home, I have plans to curl and start reading again tonight LOL! Love, Love, Love the way the story is told, I don't feel like there are any unecessary scenes, and even though its in the fantasy genre it made me feel like I was in college again, living the adventure with the characters. I know I'm rambling so...let me stop, but please check out this book if you can!
