Lauren Marrero, a freelance author and poet, has beenwriting stories since she first learned to spell, though her skillssignificantly improved while studying English Literature at the University ofCalifornia, Berkeley. An avid traveler, Lauren loves exploring the world anduses her knowledge of history and world cultures to make her stories comealive.

Her debut novel, Seducing the Laird, was published by BlackLyon Publishing (2011). She is a contributing author in the UnCONventionalshort story anthology (2012). Other stories and poems have been published inZigZag Stories (2011), Mirror Dance (2009), The Fifth Di... (2009), andFirstWriter (2008) magazines.
