Talisha Mallory

About

Talisha Mallory was born Talisha Z. Harden January 28th 1977 to Sheila Harden and Bernard Pryor in the windy city of Chicago Illinois. She was raised by her grandmother and her uncle due to her mothers drug habit. She started writing at the age of thirteen due to a gift she inherited from her mother. Talisha left Chicago at the age of fifteen and moved to Mounds Illinois to stay with her father. She lived with her father for two short years before she was on her way to live in Topeka Kansas where her mother and grandmother now resided. She was now living on her own and her mother was now clean of drugs and alcohol. At the time She was the proud mother of one beautiful baby boy. She continued her education at Topeka High School but never graduated due to being pregnant with her second child and work related stress. Even though life threw her one hell of a curve ball she continued to write out her anger and her situations because this is where she found comfort.

She survived abusive relationships and countless scares due to cervical cancer but by the grace of God she made it thru the storm. She soon found herself pregnant with her third child so she threw her hands up and went out into the world looking for work but no one would hire a mother of three with no high school diploma. So, once again she returned to her best friend her pen and paper. She said her mother once told her that no matter how many times you fall u must then get back up, boy how she misses her mother.Talisha was soon back on top again going to church regularly and giving God the praise for all of her many accomplishments but it was soon short lived, life through her yet another curve ball and the Devil started to steal her bricks.

She ran into a man one day and his soul was as bright as the sun so she says but that was the man she married. Supposedly he was to be her knight and shining armor. Once again life had thrown her a curve ball, it just seemed as if wrong doing just kept following her around every corner and around every corner she took the time to write it out and face her demons with words. At one time in her life she was down and out completely. She was now homeless with a husband, four kids (one being her step-daughter) and pregnant. She says that she had the help of her family but with them having their own problems she then decided to swallow her pride and ask for outside help.

She was soon blessed with a house that her and her family could live in comfortably without worrying about the rent every month. Once again God had sent and angel. she lost her mother seven years ago and just three years before she lost her mother she lost her grandmother the two most important people in her life. Well at the time she lost her mother she was 5 months pregnant with her fourth child.

She tough it out but this was the one time when she couldn't write, this was the one time no words could even measure the hurt and or the pain over the lost of her mother. she bounced back and is now back living in Mounds Illinois with her five beautiful children and they mean the world to her no matter how much they may kick and scream. These are her most prize possessions and she will cherish and honor them to the grave.

Talisha says she enjoys writing because yet again this is her gift and she believes if she couldn't write where would she be, who would she be. When she is not writing she loves to spend all her quality time reading and chilling with her children. She says she never graduated from high school but she is very adamant about her children's education.

Now the Blessed Lands are ruled by pure faith, while in the Republic, reason is the guiding light—two different realms, kept apart and at peace by a treaty and an ocean.</em><br style="color:rgb(24,24,24);font-family:Georgia, serif;font-size:13.63636302947998px;line-height:17.563634872436523px;" /><br style="color:rgb(24,24,24);font-family:Georgia, serif;font-size:13.63636302947998px;line-height:17.563634872436523px;" /><span style="color:rgb(24,24,24);font-family:Georgia, serif;font-size:13.63636302947998px;line-height:17.563634872436523px;">Children of the Republic, Helena and Jason were inseparable in their youth, until fate sent them down different paths.
