In the twelve twisted tales and fifteen flash-fiction pieces, Strange Circumstances explores the boundaries of our universe to see what lurks in the unknown, hidden within the mysteries of science, magic, extraterrestrials, religion and the paranormal. Amid celebrities who hit their peak and vanish, a tree that grows up from the floor of a moving train car, unspeakable conspiracy, monstrous espionage, and wicked sorcery, there is something within these pages for anyone who enjoys dark tales and twists of every sort.

My Thoughts: I've loved Weston Kincaid's stuff since I read his first books, Invisible Dawn and A Life of Death. When I was offered the chance to get an early read of this one by editing it, I jumped at the chance. Weston worked with two other authors - Marshall J. Stephens and David Chrisley - to come up with the wide variety of short stories and flash fiction to be found in this terrific anthology. There is something for everyone here, stories strange and wonderful. Read it, enjoy it, love it. I know I did!

K. Sozaeva

Each tale gives you a taste of a magic world just around the corner.
The poetic images are dark, twisted, sometimes humorous: trees, sorcerors, spies, poker, dangerous women, and flashdrives.
But there's almost always a guide and a choice.
Sandmen brought back images from Gaiman.
A few reminded me of Philip K. Dick with layered identities and supernatural conspiracies.
The cursed man and the vampire reminded me of Williamson's "Darker than you Think."
A man attending his own funeral could have been from the movie "The Order."
The tale of the faerie queen felt like vintage Harlan Ellison.
My only complaint was that each time I got hooked on the new world, it ended.

Dr. R

Great collection, a true collaboration of three authors who worked together by writing parts of each story. The stories range in subject matter so you definitely aren't reading the same one over and over again in a different form, but all have a paranormal quality and are written to suck you in and deliver a twist so that you're dying to get to the end of each to find out what happens. Somewhat of a Twilight Zone feel, or Stephen King perhaps. Well worth a read, you're likely to find some favorites here. I'm definitely going to read one of Weston Kincade's novels now after this, and I'm hoping to see material by Marshall J. Stephens and David Chrisley appear here on Amazon as well.

Kindle Addict
