About

Frantiska Oliver was born on December 31, 1971 in Houston, Texas.  The first 13 years of her life were spent in Alief, Texas, on 12 acres in the middle of a constantly expanding city. She attended Chancellor Elementary and one year at Alief Middle School.  Then, at the end of 6th grade, her parents decided to move to the country and transferred Frantiska to Brazos Junior High where she graduated from Brazos High School in 1990.

Afterwards, she took a year off and worked for a welding shop as a secretary, but the passion she had for animals was too strong to ignore. Off to school she went again, this time studying a subject she craved to know more about--Veterinary Paramedics.  “I can honestly say that it was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made, because twenty years later, I am still working at the first clinic I applied to, and I love my job!”

In 1997, Frantiska married the love of her life, Billy, and together they have two amazing children, both of which are involved in sports. She has learned to juggle her time between piano lessons, volleyball, baseball, cub scouts, and writing. This year is only going to get busier. Her daughter is now old enough for athletics; basketball and track is now added to the list! “Go Cougarettes!!!”

Frantiska grew up in a time without cell phones, game consoles, and all the luxuries kids now have in today’s world. She learned to occupy her time with paper, pens, books, her expansive imagination, and a horse—she spent the majority of her time riding from one field to the next, always daydreaming.

Thanks to books such as Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, House of Nught Series by  P C Cast and Kristen Cast, Night World series by L J Smith and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer–the list goes on and on—her imagination only grew stronger.

So, when the sun sets and everyone is asleep, you’ll find her on the back porch with a notebook and pen, listening to Nature’s music as she writes about the adventures manifesting within her head. A whole other world had opened up, allowing her to be called an author. This is a life-long dream that is now finally becoming reality.
