Story Behind The Book
My love of reading the written word came before my love of writing. As a child, I read everything I could get my hands on, including the backs of cereal boxes. The romance novel bug hit me in my mid-teens. The first romance novel that I read was a Harlequin historical. I have been in love with the romance genre ever since.
I wrote my debut novel, Pushed to the Edge, during my last year of law school. The idea for the novel came to me during a class lecture on the dangers of bioterrorism. I started out writing a few hundred words a day. When reading Pushed, I hope that readers take away thoughts about the interconnection between terrorism and the drug trade.
