Luke Romyn was born in Sydney, Australia, and spent his youth travelling extensively throughout the world with his family. After the death of his father, Luke spent some time living in Fiji before he returned to Australia and completed his education. Circumstances soon drew him into the seedy world of nightclub security. Luke used his caustic wit and quick thinking to defuse situations which could otherwise become volatile and swiftly became known as one of the most professional doormen in the business.

Ten years and several different security and bodyguard jobs later, Luke broadened his horizons and spent a year travelling and working around the world with his wife Sarah. During this time Luke began researching and writing his new novel,
