Story Behind The Book
Tears of Crimson has been with me, literally, for over twenty-five years. The entire book is based on dreams that I began having as a young girl of fifteen. When I released the original version in 2010, I was very new to the writing world. Cara and Rafe have always been my favorite characters, and I wanted to give them a revamping to tell their story the way it was always meant to be told. Rafe came into my life at a time when I was dealing with heartbreak, and the hormones of a teenage girl to go along with it. I honestly do believe he saved me from myself, and for that I'll be forever greatful. Looking at my five children, husband, and the life I have now, in part I owe that all to him. Even today he is my muse, and I still dream about the worlds he opened my eyes to so many years ago. To say this is a labor of love, would be an understatement. I've put all of my other work on hold while I tell his story because it's that important to me. Whatever Rafe truly is, be it guardian angel, my muse, or something I'm not capable of understanding at this point in my life, he will always be my redemption. I hope you enjoy the Tears of Crimson book, and fall in love with Rafe and Cara the same way I have.
