Kenneth Polcyn

About

Ken Polcyn was a boy who faced life’s early challenges growing up on a farm outside of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  Becoming involved in sports dramatically changed his life and led to an opportunity to attend college.  Passing up an offer with the Chicago Bears, he moved to New York City to pursue his dream to become a professional singer.  But the Korean War intervened and he was drafted into the U.S. Army.  This experience, combined with his advanced degrees led him down new and exciting pathways he could never have imagined, propelling him across the globe from Vietnam and the Philippines to Central and South America, and numerous other countries in between.  His research in the emerging field of Communication Satellites provided entre to the world’s elite, and the eventual formation of his own company, Communication Technology Applications (CTA).  Although his adventures came at a great personal toll, he has participated in life in ways that most can only dream.
