About

I am David Andrew Crawford and I was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada but moved to Ontario when I was a child.  I studied psychology at Carleton University and then went in pursuit of a degree in Computer Science at Algonquin College until finally settling on web designing and development as a career choice.

Shortly thereafter, my father passed away and I delved back into one of my passions, reading fantasy novels, to help take my mind off the loss of my father.  Several years passed and in a passing conversation with my mother, I was urged to write a story about the  character I had made as a child playing Dungeons and Dragons.  My novel is the story of Dark Solus, the character I invented for the game.  On January 27, 2011 my novel Dark Solus An Assassin’s Tale, the first novel in the Dark Saga Series, was published.  My novel has now won 3 awards in the Fantasy genre and in contests held in the United States.  In February 2012 I won 2nd place in the Written Art Awards and in August 2012 I won Bronze in the Readers Favorite.  I just got notification April 15, 2013 that I won 1st Finalist in the Beverly Hills Book Awards for the Fantasy genre.

I write full time and am working on my second novel in the Dark Saga series.  I still live in Canada in the small hamlet of Innisville with my two dogs Ares and Ariel.

As a true story, it will leave you satisfied, yet wanting to know more.’ <br />‘Often times, life will take us to the end of our rope, leaving us helpless and at our wit’s end. Story Behind The Book

This book, Demon Raider The Death Stalker, is the second in the Dark Saga Series and continues the story of Dark Solus, an assassin. Now that he has the magical items he needs, he will be able to carry out his revenge against his enemies, enemies that murdered his parents. With the help of his grandfather, a silver dragon, Dark sets out for Duergar, the home of his enemies. Dark is a master of disguise and with his Ring of Invisibility he freely tracks down his foes. I have always been a Dungeon and Dragon fan and this is the character I created and played when I was young. As you know for Dungeon and Dragon fans action is a must and along with that I have plenty of magic for all fantasy fans, young and old. I was quite awhile writing this book but I did a lot of research and there are many, many background stories that go along with the story. Wait until you read about my Indian Rope trick! You won’t want to skip a page as you are sure to miss something that will you will need to remember later on, especially when I get to book three. Dark has chosen to call himself Demon Raider, Demon after his father who was a demon and his mother who was a witch raider and I used my concept of his armour that he wears as the cover of my book. I thoroughly enjoy writing and seeing what my imagination can come up with. Sometimes I even get myself into situations that takes me a few days to come up with a way out. Enjoy everyone!!
