Story Behind The Book

As a child Ruth Hildegard Henrich created many gardens such as these inside this book. Helping pull weeds in her parents yard, she noticed the “weeds” look very much like the plants in the big garden, only at much smaller scale. So she used them to plant her own little gardens – adding “furniture” (rusted screws, pebble…) and her imagination turned them into fairy gardens. With this book about the treasures of Fairy gardens, Ruth Hildegard Henrich passes on her passion for the miracles of nature, found in the smallest plant, leaf and pebble. She wants to open children’s’ eyes to the wonders surrounding us. Her goal is to expand children’s interest in and understanding of nature. Ruth Hildegard Henrich professionally plans patios, balconies, terraces and fully landscaped gardens and parks, turning them into contemplative gardens for the soul (www.HealingHomes.homestead.com).
