Donna's first book was published by Harrison House Publishing, Tulsa, OK in 1983, The Flight of Orville Wright Caterpiller introducing the beginning of a Christian Children's Book "Orville" series. Included in the series is; The Adventure of Amelia Airheart Butterfly in bye! bye! Dragonfly! and Do Angels Go Camping?
In addition, Donna wrote Don't Hug a Grudge, a stand alone book that reaches ages eight to adult. Don't Hug a Grudge was featured by Joyce Meyer, of Joyce Meyer Ministries, Intl., in her Emotional Healing series, under the teaching title; Bitterness, Resentment and Unforgiveness.
Donna has taught Children's Minisitry for over thirty years and believes in giving children 'bite-sized teachings', that are full of life changing wisdom. Her books are firmly based on the principles of the Word of God. Donna is known as "the Believe Like a Little Child Author."
Donna Perugini Books helps parents who are looking beyond simple value-fueled stories for their children. Open a new world for your child and begin a series that causes their 'roots to go deep'!
Peter and the Whimper-Whineys is about a small rabbit who whines all the time. His mother cautions him that if he keeps on whining and crying, he’ll have to go live with the Whimper-Whineys. One night Peter hops into the dark forest. He meets some Whimper-Whineymen and discovers that not only do the Whimper-Whineys whine all the time, but they are very ill-mannered and rude. He discovers that everything is sour in Whimper-Whineyland and decides his mother was right! If only he can get back home… a recent critique, “Though there are other books out there for children about whining, I cannot imagine any parent or guardian not wanting to read this book to their child!... Parents everywhere applaud you!”
Donna has always sought to 'teach and reach' the children by 'cutting up' what is offered in the Word of God into 'bite-sized pieces'. A friend explained to me one day, how she had visually explained the scripture in Psalm 91 to her Sunday School class about the 'angels of the Lord camping round about those who love Him'. Donna took the idea further with, "Do Angels Go Camping?" The third in a series, the book speaks to the children about friends, angels, and prayer and thanksgiving.

Stow away, of course. After Antrew wanders off, Orville and Amelia pray for God's protection over their little friend as they search for him in the big forest. My four-year-old son especially liked this book and wanted to know "what happens next?" I loved the prevalent theme of God watching over us, even when we feel lost.
