Stephen Caravana grew up in Dartmouth, MA, and spent many years working as a commercialfisherman out of New Bedford beforepursuing a career in the medical profession as a registered nurse, graduatingfrom Cape Cod Community College andthe University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. He alsoserved in the Army Reserve for thirty-two years, holding many leadershippositions, and received numerous awards for his accomplishments. He retired in 2008 at the rank of major. Stephen was inspired by God to tell his storyof faith in his first book Light Beyond The Storm which was released in2008.
