dependence on using an oxygen tank, the

patients always tried to find a way to go under

the smoking patio to have a cigarette,” adding,

“In the latter years of

accumulating information

for my book, I noticed that

patients no longer had the

urge to smoke when they

were deathly ill, but

responsive.” He observes

that “the less we smoke, the easier it is to smoke less.” Bien-Aime is a

registered nurse in an intensive care unit and is pursuing a career in medicine.

Born in Montreal, Canada, the author now lives in San Antonio, Texas.
