About

The Vampire genre has always been a great love of mine and my passion for the topic is what led me to write my first novel. I am a paranormal author who early on in my writing career decided to publish independently. The idea of having full creative control of my work was appealing to me and has been very rewarding.

Aside from vampires, I am intrigued with all things supernatural. I find the writing process a great way to pursue these interests and express my thoughts on humanity and morality.

Description

(Book 1)
Betrayed by the woman he loved and on the verge of destitution, artist Jonathan Martinez channels his anguish and rage into what will become his greatest masterpiece—Passion and Betrayal. The painting, critically acclaimed, ushers him into the world of fine art and allows him to realize his dreams. Stepping out of the shadows, he transforms into Phillipe, a wealthy artist and sought-after bachelor who enjoys an extravagant lifestyle—including his pick of any woman he desires.

But when Phillipe least expects, the woman who almost destroyed him returns on the arm of his agent. Despite his anger, she awakens the part of his soul he entombed long ago. The part of him that can never forget her, no matter how deeply he buries himself in his art.

With everything he's accomplished at stake, can Phillipe overpower the demons that haunt him and learn to love again? Or will his heart remain a shattered work of art that can never be restored?

Story Behind The Book

While not denying that they are basically evil, she portrays them as having feelings of love and caring for one another and for selected mortals. This work is well written and shows the author had spent a lot of time and research in this genre. She had demonstrated great ability in creating an interesting plot line as we follow Deirdra's decision to join this ghoulish world of the living dead, then wrestle with her conscience to deal with what is required for survival as a creature of the night.

It is a novel well worth reading for those of you who enjoy or are curious about this particular genre.

Eric J.
