Richard II found himself under siege not once, but twice in his minority. Crowned king at age ten, he was only fourteen when the Peasants' Revolt terrorized London. But he proved himself every bit the Plantagenet successor, facing Wat Tyler and the rebels when all seemed lost. Alas, his triumph was short-lived, and for the next ten years he struggled to assert himself against his uncles and increasingly hostile nobles. Just like in the days of his great-grandfather Edward II, vengeful magnates strove to separate him from his friends and advisors, and even threatened to depose him if he refused to do their bidding. The Lords Appellant, as they came to be known, purged the royal household with the help of the Merciless Parliament. They murdered his closest allies, leaving the King alone and defenseless. He would never forget his humiliation at the hands of his subjects. Richard's inability to protect his adherents would haunt him for the rest of his life, and he vowed that next time, retribution would be his.
B.R.A.G. South of the Border is a reflection of my taste of hobbies and adventure. The sea is important to me and I scuba dive all over the world. This heroine is strong and ex military like me. You'll find the story a quick read, most people can't put it down because of the pacing. That's the way I like to read a book...I devour it.

Rick doesn't follow the rules and when his partner and friend is killed, revenge is square on his mind, even if it puts sexy Danielle in a tough spot. Between rampant emotions, nerves and gun deals, Rick and Danielle find themselves fighting attraction as well.

For the military romance lovers out there, Cherie De Sues needs to go to the top of their `must-read' pile. The romance element is front and center, the two main characters finding their way through their feelings and attraction as they continue to fight and figure out exactly what is happening with the other pieces of the story. South of the Border is an intense read and it's a good thing it's not that long because you won't be able to put it down.
