In his long and varied career as a musician, songwriter and producer Perryhas worked with such people as Lefty Frizzell, Hank Snow Jr. and Sheb Wooley.Over the years as a solo performer or with a band he has also been thesupporting act for such show biz luminaries as the Bee Gees, Ambrosia, LittleRiver Band, B.J. Thomas, Hal Ketchum and Lonestar – - to name just a few.
More recently he completed the final draft of a soon-to-be-publishednovel called, “Pretty Flamingo”. Based on actualpersonal experiences the book is essentially a love story that takes some veryunexpected twists and turns. The final version of the novel is expectedto be available in late January 2011.

You can hear Bob Dylan still strumming acoustic; smoke a joint with Fred Neil; and Everybody’s Talkin is carried on the wind.</p><p>Stephanie, a young hairdresser living in lodgings finds herself pregnant. Refused help from her hard Catholic mother in New York, unable to abort her baby, she accepts the kindness of Miriam, her Jewish landlady, whose own barren life spills into compassionate assistance for the daughter she never had.</p><p>The poignancy of its ending, its generosity and acceptance, echoes the bitter disappointment of those of us who hoped for so much more, but who remember its joy, and its promise, as though untarnished by time.</p>
Story Behind The Book
Based on actual personal experiences the book is essentially a love story that takes some very unexpected twists and turns. The final version of the novel is expected to be available in late January 2011.
Meanwhile the story came to the attention of Sandy Hockenbery, Producer for Red Horizon Films. She was so taken with it that she has made it her mission to bring it to the big screen. They plan to begin development in the spring of 2011 with award winning director Tom Wozny at the helm.
