Story Behind The Book

I have always been obsessed with the storms of coastal North Carolina, where I grew up. I love the way the world looks at night when it is lit up by lightning. It always felt like a glimpse into an alternate dimension. I wanted to create a place that always looked like that. Everything else fell into place along the way there.
