Story Behind The Book

'Opposable Thumb' is my NaNochild. I just heard about NaNoWriMo last year in late October. I really wanted to participate, but I was already writing a fantasy novel and had just reached 70k words. It did not feel right to use that one for NaNoWriMo, it went against the entire concept! So I decided to come up with a new story idea for NaNoWriMo. The idea hit me when I asked one of my roommates for ideas. She said: "Write about ponies!" I looked at her awkwardly and then said: "Why the hell not? It's NaNoWriMo after all." Don't worry, it did not turn out to be a story about ponies. The one sentence summary sounds something like this: 'A grieving young stallion releases an ancient evil to take revenge on the humans that butchered his parents.' And a thousand ideas bashed me from all sides ever since. Thanks for your attention!
