Breaking Through the Spiral Ceiling: An American Woman Becomes a DNA Scientist
Description
Laura Hoopes takes you along as she tries to enter science in the 1960's in the post-Sputnik science education frenzy, only to find doors closed to women. She persists, makes a career of molecular gerontology and insists on making space for marriage and children in her life. This inspiring read says, "Yes, you can," to women who have dreams of their own.
Story Behind The Book
This workbook is designed for those with some knowledge of Word who are upgrading from Word 2003 to 2010. Word 2007 and 2010 are so different from earlier versions, so much more powerful, and with so many new features, that simply working in the product the same way as 2003 is not going to harness the value of upgrading. You are not just looking at a new interface; you are looking at a new way of working.
Reviews
What I like about
the book is that not only does it provide easy-to-read, easy-to-follow, step-by-step procedures along with accompanying images, it brings awareness to features that were, possibly, unknown to users. It is not heavy on text. It brings attention to features I did not know existed and now plan to use, such as the new features of picture adjustments, which is advantageous for promotional and training.
