About

Sherry Michelle was born and raised in sunny South Florida; Miami to be exact. A single mother of two who enjoys reading and writing during her leisure time. During her adolescent years she was recognized by her 9th grade English teacher for a poem she wrote titled "Me". Unfortunately, she didn't adhere to her teacher’s guidance in regards to publishing her poem. She has since set her pen down with poetry, but found a passion in writing novels and short stories.

Her newly released novel Chaos was a great mistake she stumbled upon. It all happened when she worked an overnight concierge security job. Seated in front of her desk at work one night (bored) trying to stay awake; she looked at the computer screen and just started typing. Before she realized it, she had thought out an entire story plot and thus, Chaos was conceived. She played around with several different titles and as the story developed, based solely on its content, she decided "Chaos" was the perfect description of her main character Danielle’s life.

As a self published author, she works hard at self promoting and marketing her own work. A very trying and time consuming task, but through these trials she has adopted a keen knowledge in regards to the literary world. So far, her journey has proven to be nothing but inspirational and exciting. She rejoices at the accomplishments of other talented “African American” writers nationwide, and it’s through their achievements that she remains motivated to continue on her own path to success; ultimately gaining her the respect and recognition of being identified as a bestselling novelist. But until then….she continues to work, write, and promote!
