Graham studiedat the Phoenix Arts Centre in Exeter,where he concentrated on creative writing for the screen and television. Hiskey interests are teleplays, and screenplays as well as developing and writingoriginal drama series’ for television. Those recently completed include “TheOther Side of the Tracks,” “Streetlife” and an action/drama series “Pebble onthe Beach,” set on the beautiful island of Cyprus.
Dave Penn. AdamFaith, John Altman and a number of actors, directors and producers havefavourably reviewed his work and several television and production companieshave taken options on his work.
Born in Exeter in 1947 he spent many years living and playing Hammond organ in a number of groups in Germany and Scandinaviaduring the sixties. He returned to Englandin the early seventies where he worked as a session musician in many of the London studios.
An accomplishedsongwriter and musician, Graham has been featured in a number of arts andmusical programmes and has performed and recorded with many artists includingJimi Hendrix, Fats Domino, Ritchie Blackmore, James Taylor, Elton John andnumerous name musicians. Many of his songs have won competitions in France, Spain,Gibraltar and Japanas well as being recorded by many well-known artists.
Tabitha Music Limited,the independent music publishing company formed by Graham in 1975, has acatalogue of more than fifteen hundred songs and has published hit records inmuch of Europe and the Far East including Japan. The company’s songs havebeen featured in a number of films, television programmes, documentaries andreleases on major record labels including EMI, CBS and Phonogram. Tabitha Musiccontinues to actively promote its catalogue and artists around the world.
Graham alsomanaged many bands in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s including, Urchin, Martin &the Brown Shirts, Key West, Sovereign, Daylight Robbery, Alien, Receivers,Venus and Mars, The Smith, Colin Wilson, Eye Spy and Red i. He is currentlyworking with The Meteors, Feddy Lavrof, The Boys from
Melbourne Street and a number of songwriters.
Graham hasproduced records in varying styles as diverse as punk, folk, country, heavyrock and MOR in studios as far afield as Trinidad and Jamaica. Manyof these productions were released on the Tabitha Record label in the Beneluxand Spainand major or independent labels around the World. Graham’s production credits haveresulted in a number of hit records by many artists.
Graham in is nowworking on the novels “Love Shack,” based in the east end of London and the redlight district of Amsterdam and “Receivers,” based around the current recession.
Active ondeveloping a number of projects at any one time, Graham is a prolific writerwho carefully researches his subject before reaching for the PC. Many of hisprojects involve music and his background enables him to combine an unusual mixof original music and script.
Graham Sclaterenjoys working in many arenas, using first hand experience of as many subjectsas possible, often spending time researching overseas.
He is at homewriting and developing any concept. He has an understanding of budgeting, thelogistics of production, location and direction.
Graham is currentlyworking on a number of film scripts including the titles: More than a womanand Lyin’ eyes.
