Eveta Chapla was born into an aristocratic family in Communist Ukraine. Her childhood years were spent under the iron hand of her communist father and the neglect of her cold and distant mother. She sought relief through her spiritual visions and escape to the United States. In her memoir Rage to Rapture she tells her story.
