M.H. Mayfield enjoys smoking good cigars, drinking Guinness by the pint, and swearing in Irish or German. She spends her time writing, practicing Bikram yoga and running with her dog, Niko. She's a member of the American Homebrewers Association, as well as a lifetime member of Sigma Tau Delta and The Mile High Club. The Rains of War is her first novel.
