I am a British writerand poet. I spend half my life in a partly restored old farmhouse inthe Czech Republic, where I write all my novels and poetry. I was asuccessful published poet in my teens and twenties, (featuring in theGrandchildren of Albion anthology). Then my son arrived and Iwas juggling motherhood and career and somehow there wasn't time forthe writing. So many women will know how that feels. I worked withdisadvantaged people for about twenty years. It was emotionally hardwork but very rewarding. Nevertheless it took its toll and a fewyears ago I realised that I couldn't continue. I needed to startwriting again.

I aim to write popularbooks, which have complex characters and themes that get under thereader's skin. I find my experience of working with people on theedge of society an inspiration for my fiction. My novel Girl inthe Glass is available on Amazonand Smashwords.It is the first in a trilogy of books about a remarkable woman.
