The Story Behind This Book
Truths and Roses is a story of my heart. Pieces of my childhood show up here in the fictional lives of Hannah Jacobs, Will Kincaid, Jenny Dudley and Henry Lawson. They're just good souls with their own battles to fight and hurdles to overcome. And while these characters aren't based on anyone I've actually known, they are comprised of the many wonderful qualities I've admired in people I grew up with. Kindness, humility, tenacity, compassion and determination. In reading about them, I hope you come to love them as much as I loved writing about them.
