Simultaneous terror operations destroy most of American heritage symbols, dealing a death blow to the “land of the free and the home of the brave”. The only surviving member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff grabs the reins of power and turns the USA into a military dictatorship.
Al Qaeda sleeper cells throughout the US form the Army of God despite the opposition of many American Muslims. It enters into an unholy alliance with the American dictator. So does China, which invades the West Coast states to protect its investments.
Former Army Ranger Jude Winthrop and thousands of patriotic Americans quickly form a nation-wide resistance, incorporating US Armed Forces units that turn against the military dictatorship. Jude’s wife and their unborn baby perish in the initial terrorist attack, turning the Ranger into a killing machine for America and its freedom. And the fight is on.
