The Story Behind This Book
The story Little Girl started out as just a story bouncing around in my head for quite awhile. It seemed like a strange story idea considering the subject matter of the story. I decided to start writing the story down. Mainly for myself. I had no idea of actually publishing. As I wrote, the story grew. The characters grew. And the more I wrote, the more I began to care about my main character, Emma Compton. There are several places in the story that I was bawling my eyes out while writing. I was having very real emotions for this girl! I hope that as you read Little Girl you too will become emotional about the story and the characters. I hope to someday be able to speak out against child abuse, and rape, and bullying so that maybe I can help someone who is a victim of these awful things!
