Sick Humor
Lina is sick. Lina is dying. Lina doesn't get why everyone is so shocked about the inevitable, so she has decided to undergo the whole process of her demise with as much laughter, cynicism, and wit as she lived her everyday life. Instead of getting to know Lina through her life and childhood, we get to know her at her time of ruin. This very honest portrayal of what it's like to be young, sick, and to know that the end is very near provokes the question, why are we so afraid of something that we know is going to happen from the time we are born? After all, we begin to die a little every day that we are alive, so let's do it while laughing, because the alternative sounds worse than the actual calm nothingness of dying.
