Dino Game
The dino game is a hidden offline game that activates when your device loses connection to the internet while using the Google Chrome browser. A message appears on the screen that says "No internet," along with a small pixelated Tyrannosaurus rex. By simply pressing the spacebar (or tapping the screen on mobile), the T-Rex starts running across a desert landscape, dodging cacti and pterodactyls.
The game was first introduced by Google in September 2014 as a playful way to entertain users while they waited for their internet connection to return. However, due to its popularity, it was later given a dedicated URL (chrome://dino/) so users could access it anytime, even when they were online.
How to Play the Dino Game
The gameplay is straightforward:
- Press the spacebar or tap the screen to start.
- Use the spacebar or tap to make the dinosaur jump over obstacles.
- As the game progresses, the speed increases and obstacles appear more frequently.
- The game continues until the player hits an obstacle.
While it may seem simple, the increasing difficulty and high score system make the Dino Game incredibly addictive. Players often challenge themselves and others to beat personal or shared high scores.
