Seven percent of allmurder victims are young women who are killed by their boyfriends. One out ofevery three women in high school is in an abusive relationship. The numbers arestaggering. Those on the outside, maybe some even reading this book, may ask,"Why don't they do something? Can't people see that this is aproblem?"

There are many signsto see, but the person who is being abused generally can't see them because ofthe insults, of being trapped into lying all of the time, and of feeling thatthe abuse is her fault. She might feel that she is the "crazy one" inthe relationship, and if she were only different, the person she's with wouldact differently. Because the woman doesn't recognize the problem in therelationship, most don't ask for help. It becomes important then for others torecognize the signs and help support the one being abused.

From Deep Within is based ona true story. It is the Author's story. It is Danielle Joy Linhart's story.

"I triedeverything in my power to stop the abuse and that meant changing everythingabout myself. For four years it felt as though I was in a bubble away from lifeand from everyone I loved. It is terrible to look back and at that time tothink that nothing was wrong. When the jealousy started I thought myex-boyfriend loved me and was trying to protect me. When the abuse started Ithought it was always my fault and that I caused him to be mad all of thetime."

Praise and Reviews

This was a suprisingly great book that I purchased for my daughter. She isn't in an abusive relationship but now she will know what to look for and now knows the signs. My daughter loved the book and enjoyed reading the book. She wants to spread the word and wants to stop the abuse again teenage girls in abusive relationships. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in an abusive relationship or those or who want to be taught about an abusive relationship. It was an overall good read as well.

I read this book in about an hour and was transfixed by it. Having never been in an abusive relationship as a teenager, I was amazed how deep this problem goes. I now know why young girls feel there is no way out. If someone down grades you enough, you believe it. And believe you deserve the abuse. Thank God for caring parents and friends of this young lady. They helped her realize her true worth. Mom's are not your enemy, they love you no matter what!!!!Friends see things that you don't think they see. Best of love and luck to you Danielle Joy, what a beautiful name!!!
