This is an autobiographical story of dealing with breast cancer while staying in the shadow of the Almighty. Read how God came to her rescue time and time again as she put it all into his hands. The author found that humor helped her to cope with those times when she felt traumatized. She
found ways to laugh at her predicaments. As a teacher, wife, mother and grandmother, Belinda has many problems other than cancer to deal with.
She deals with difficult issues at school. There are health issues for her husband, her mother and for herself. The idleness of not being able to do
things makes her feel useless and unproductive. But no matter what comes her way, Belinda remains under the shadow of the Almighty.

The Story Behind This Book

This is an account of my story of breast cancer survival even while on a mountain top. This book was difficult for me to write. Personal accounts always are. I still feel this happened to someone else and I was watching from afar. That is one reason I have used a fictitious name for myself throughout the book. For obvious reasons, I used fictitious names for some of my students. God sustained me through it all and I’m hoping my story will help someone else (who is going through a similar experience) to find the peace I found. There are many things going on in a cancer survivor’s life. They cannot always voice how they are feeling to even close family members. It is a trip they must make alone. Life must go on no matter how I am feeling. Climb with me through the stuff I have to deal with before, during and after cancer, and see how God brought me through it all. Oh, there were some low times, but God was faithful even then. I remained under the shadow of the Almighty.
