Donna Burgess is an author of dark fiction and poetry whoenjoys surfing, painting and has a deep affection for all things Monty Pythonand low-budget horror flicks.  Over thepast fifteen years, her fiction and poetry has appeared in genre publicationssuch as Weird Tales, Dark Wisdom, Sybil’sGarage and others.  She has been marriedfor twenty years and has two children.  Hernewest releases include Darklands: avampire’s tale (the first book in the Darklands Vampires series) and Breaths in Winter, a short storycollection.  Both are available in printand e-book. Description

The Pacific Plate is one of the most geological active areas in the world, and the site of constant volcanic and earthquake activity.  The Ring of Fire, in the Pacific Ocean, will soon escalate its impact on mankind.  Two brothers, one a geologist and one a surfer are at the center of and event that will change the Earth, forever.

Story Behind The Book

As a lover of horror and vampires, I just wanted to writing something I would want to read. I am not a romance reader, so although there are romantic elements in this novel, the premise is based on more realistic & darker concepts than "vampire boy meets hot girl."
