Story Behind The Book

This island erotic romance is about family, or "ohana" and not leaving anyone behind. It's about what someone is willing to do to take care of people they love. The credit card scenario in this story is true. If anyone had to endure certain credit card issuing banks and their shenanigans hopping up credit card interest at will--without a back-up plan--they could have easily suffered financial ruin. This story inflicts that disaster on Jacey, the heroine, whose money problems grow when her grandmother struggles though a condition that requires costly medical care. What I love about Jacey is that she doesn't take the easy way out. She doesn't jump on the bailout her fiancé, Harrison Allandt, is offering. While it might ease her financial burdens, she knows from experience the let-down she's felt from every male she's counted on. She might have trust issues, but she never once uses the hero to advance herself, although Harry wants to do whatever it takes to make her life easier. Both characters are flawed, but in the end, they're just perfect for each other.
