Description

Richard II found himself under siege not once, but twice in his minority. Crowned king at age ten, he was only fourteen when the Peasants' Revolt terrorized London. But he proved himself every bit the Plantagenet successor, facing Wat Tyler and the rebels when all seemed lost. Alas, his triumph was short-lived, and for the next ten years he struggled to assert himself against his uncles and increasingly hostile nobles. Just like in the days of his great-grandfather Edward II, vengeful magnates strove to separate him from his friends and advisors, and even threatened to depose him if he refused to do their bidding. The Lords Appellant, as they came to be known, purged the royal household with the help of the Merciless Parliament. They murdered his closest allies, leaving the King alone and defenseless. He would never forget his humiliation at the hands of his subjects. Richard's inability to protect his adherents would haunt him for the rest of his life, and he vowed that next time, retribution would be his.
B.R.A.G. Story Behind The Book

Sometimes books take on a life of their own. That certainly happened with "Jaguar Jack." The true villain of the piece showed up during a storm scene, surprising both the leads characters and the author. "What was that?" we all wondered. It was fun finding out.--Dana Taylor

Reviews

Amazon Customer Review
Just finished reading Jaguar Jack. Took me all of two days to read because I could not put it down. This book is full of action and adventure from the first page to the last with never a lagging moment in-between. Taylor does a wonderful job of bringing her characters (and they are all so varied) to life. I could hear Jack's Aussie accent in my head and see Maggie's smirking expressions in my mind's eye. Taylor takes her readers all over the globe as she weaves a story about good versus evil in this action romance that's got a touch of the supernatural thrown in(which seems to be so popular these days). I love a story where good is really good and evil is really evil. This book tells just such a story. I can't stand insipid romance novels in which the whole plot is `Will they love one another or not?" This book is anything but that. Jaguar Jack is a great romance with a strong story and plot to support it. Download this book today, you will be thoroughly entertained with witty quips, action packed scenes, and characters with great chemistry.
