About

I live in Canterbury in the UK with my artist wife, Anisa Mandahiling. The town itself is very old with cobblestone streets and buskers playing their melodies come rain or shine. It’s basically a boho version of Covent Garden.

I keep myself busy – during the day I am a Marketing Consultant for a technology firm and during the night, I write; it’s something I want to do more of.

I spent most of my teenage years staying up until three in the morning watching series like Tales from the Crypt, which probably explains the darker elements of my young adult stories. I am the author of Dreamcatchers - After Darkness Light.

Story Behind The Book

The concept for the book occurred by accident...I was at work, looking on the internet for a Portuguese art distributor called Destarte back in the days when the internet was nothing but a mass of blue links. I saw a webpage about Dreamcatchers (i think it's still there) and a quote by Thoreau....“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!” My mind wandered....what if you could? And so, Dreamcatchers was born.

"Dreamcatchers is a coming of age tale where 5 young friends, united by circumstance, confront their demons together in a very original and unique way. I particularly liked the way real-world myths and legends were interwove into the story, and the research done for the book is quite apparent. The pacing is great, and there are some genuine page-turner sections, as well as more sedate parts that quite elegantly set the backstory." Andrew Whittaker
